Waiting time
Dreamt that I was in the food court at a train station/mall eating a rice ball. As soon as I got settled with my snack and my sauce, a homeless man sat with me and would not stop talking. I couldn't think of a way to politely tell him to shut up, so I decided to tell him that I had to leave for my train. Turns out, it was in fact train time, so I started hustling through the mall part of the train station when I realized I had to pee. There wasn't any time to do so in the nice, mall bathrooms, so I was going to have to take my chances on the train.

Transformer
Dreamt again about leaving Hawaii, this time I was postponing my flight to get a few extra days of sunshine before I left.
Also dreamt that a fat man in a suit came to my office to ask someone else to apply for a marketing job that I was grossly under qualified for, but I filled out the application on the clipboard anyway. One of the perks was a company car, and I got to see in it action from across a moat. It was a helicopter that landed on a house and then transformed into a race car, and I kept thinking WHAT AN IRRESPONSIBLE USE OF COMPANY FUNDS!

To and fro
Weird one last night... can't put these segments in order, but here we go:
- I dropped my iPhone and much to my dismay, the bottom right corner just... fell off. Two pieces of phone. I decided to reset the software to the previous hour, convinced that it would work for the physical phone as well. I reset the phone and then rubbed it against what I can only describe as a sprinkled loaf of bread and wa la! Success.
- I was supposed to work a half day and go in at like, 4pm. I usually took the bus from in front of the Carvel on Hicksville Road, and since it was raining, I stopped into Duane Reade to get an umbrella. I picked one out that had a flamingo pattern on it, waited on line (all the while nervous about missing my bus) and.... purchased something else entirely ( I can't remember what). The cashier kept asking me a question that I couldn't hear, so I just said no. I realized after I asked her for a gift receipt and she glared at me that that had been the question all along. Needless to say, when I asked if I could grab an umbrella and buy it without waiting in line again, she said no. I went next door to Payless to buy some plastic shoes (you know, that wouldn't get messed up in the rain) and was so pumped that Jellies were back in style and there were plenty to choose from. For some reason, instead of just buying the shoes and getting on the damn bus, I kept going back and forth from Payless, to Duane Reade, to the sushi place in the middle (which is the only thing that is not actually in the shopping center). The fat white guy that owned the sushi place chased me out because I was getting everything wet. I ran into my mom and Jen outside, and convinced Jennifer to give me an umbrella and my mom to trade shoes with me. Finally, I was ready for the bus, which I clearly missed. I called Scott to explain that by the time I took an hour long bus ride (which is how I commuted in Hawaii) to the hour long train (which is how I commute now), I wouldn't be there until 7pm, so I was just going to go home.
- I ran into William H. Macy in my living room. He had just returned from Costco and was lamenting the purchase of a 36 pack of 6 different full sized cereals. After getting it home, he had remembered that he only liked whole wheat cereal. From there, I was exiting what was supposed to be Lienne's dorm at law school, only to get involved in a paint filled water balloon (paint balloon?) fight. Felicity Huffman was there, so I got to tell her about her husbands cereal regrets. Also in attendance: Doug, the Umberto's delivery boy that looks like a panda, and Sam, one of the girls Steve traveled to Uganda with. I eventually exited with my now lovely painted hair, and descended down a back staircase/fire escape into the backyard/elementary school playground, where I saw a Madeline Albright as a child meeting her teacher.

Draft from 8/24/11
Drafted, never published (8/24/2011)
Weird conglomeration of things in my dreams the last two nights. Monday, I dreamt that I was at the Grand Canyon with Jennifer, trying to find somewhere to park, but all of the parking lots were underwater. Then we were in an underwater version of Arches National Park, were all of the rock formations were above water but there was no ground. We were swimming? or on a small island? in the middle of the murky water and I dropped my camera.

Morning Rush
The only thing I can distinctly remember from last night was waking up to get ready for work and not being able to get into the bathroom because Jim Quinn was showering.
Snippets include: guards in thermal, camouflage onesies, and a family escaping said guards on a school bus.
More to come if more comes back...

Welp, six months seems a long enough reprieve... I don't have anything solid to report, but here are my most recent dream fragments (gotta start somewhere, right?!)
- Dreamt that I was at the supermarket trying to find things to stir-fry for Steve Dixon. All of the green beans in the store were gross looking, so I ended up with approximately 5 of them, and was beating myself up trying to remember if he ate snow peas or not. Steve showed up to help out, but was generally despondent because someone had spilled a beer on his head and drenched his favorite Sox hat.
- Dreamt that I was in Disney World with my mom and Jimmy, taking pictures with Nuglet 1.0 (RIP)
- Dreamt that Jessica and I ran into Melissa while waiting for a train... Melissa was fuhreaking out because we were waiting on the wrong track. We jumped across the tracks to get to the train, and shoved our way on past businessmen who offered to buy our student fare tickets for us as a nice gesture. Some old mean guy started yelling that we were NOT students, and we should buy our own damn train fare. Jerk.
- ...something about using Erin's TurbieTwist after a shower.

chronoptimistic
Dreamt last night that I took the time to investigate where my interview on Monday was going to be, down to determining where the nearest dry cleaner was to what codes I'd need in the parking garages. Come interview day, I was waiting in the lobby with Jess, Melissa and Whitney, and I realized I wasn't dressed appropriately at all. I tried on their clothes but nothing made sense, and the shirt I had left with the dry cleaner wasn't clean or dry. I went home to find something else, and must have fallen asleep or something because at 2:55 someone pointed out that I was most definitely going to be late. Jennifer was driving me there so I could finish assembling myself in the passenger seat and try to email/call the interviewers to tell them I was stuck in traffic or whatever. By the time 3:45 rolled around and we were still in the car, I'd given up.
Fast forward and I'm on some kind of cruise/vacation package digging through a cooler looking for some Wailua Wheat. I had to stop my hunt prematurely because Erin and Jess Salem had to leave early... something about birds. Which actually makes a lot of sense now that I think about it.
